Rue Cremieux is a quiet pedestrian street tucked away just off of bustling Rue de Lyon. This street is roughly a 15 minute walk from Bastille in the 12th Arrondisement. It’s easy to miss and only takes about 5 minutes to walk it’s whole length, but I classify it as one of my must sees in Paris.

The colorful cottage facades, make Rue Cremieux a breath of fresh air from the neutral beige and gray architecture of the rest of the city. It’s like stepping into a different Paris from the regular tourist spots.  No crowds to navigate through, just peace and beauty.  Hidden gems like this are what give Paris it’s enduring charm. Plus there is no better photo op than Rue Cremieux.

If you do stroll down the quiet pedestrian street, please keep in mind that real residents live here. Please be quiet and mindful of their space!
