Every year I make some kind of New Years resolutions. Usually it has something to do with my weight. This year is no different only though this time I wrote specific things I can do to help get toward my goal. Eat an apple a day, 30 minutes of exercise daily, drink more water, and think before eating are all targeted things I need to do to help me. I think this is more reasonable than to just say “I’m gonna lose 25 pounds”.
Some of my resolutions are somewhat general. Do more projects and try something new are resolutions to just think about during the year. I could tackle more chalk paint projects or just get my house more organized. Something new could be taking a cooking class or zip lining on our upcoming cruise.
The hardest resolution will be to learn French. I still have those Rosetta Stone CD’s in my closet. For now they are collecting dust much to the dismay of my hubby, but I intend to use them. Unfortunately trying to learn a language is difficult at this age. I think my chances of learning conversational French are nil, but I just want to give it an effort for my next trip to Paris in 2016.
Will I keep all 12 of these resolutions? I’m guessing that I will have some slip ups along the way. It’s always fun to plan a fresh start on January 1st. Weather or not we keep them will be revealed in time.
What resolutions if any do you make for the new year?
