Book Recommendation: Pancakes In Paris by Craig Carlson

My book recommendation for this month is Breakfast In America by Craig Carlson

Not only did this fun read make me incredibly hungry for all breakfast food, it  was a great glimpse into the crazy bureaucracy of starting and running a restaurant in Paris.

This is the true story of Craig Carlson and his very famous diner style Breakfast In America restaurants in Paris. Armed with an idea and a dream, his journey is not an easy one by far. Struggling with setback after setback, Craig never gives up on his dream. It sure takes a tough skin to survive everything that is thrown at him. Survive he does and his Breakfast In America are one of the most popular restaurants in Paris with both Parisian locals, expats, and tourists alike.

I love to read books that take me on a journey and this one certainly did. It incorporates humor, heartbreak, and happiness in my favorite city.

Grab this book to read. Not only will every Francophile like me love it, but if you want to see what it’s like to start a business in a foreign country or even need a bit of inspiration to follow your dreams, it’s for you. I could not put it down and finished it in two days!

I have not been to Breakfast In America during my visits to Paris, but I can tell my next trip to Paris I will be checking it out!
